Knowing God’s Word.

This is what I have decided to refer to as a grassroots bible study. The reason for that is I will avoid all the professional commentaries, bible scholars, and teachers.  I am none of the above, but a fellow disciple of Jesus Christ who obeys the command to not add to nor take away, nor to give a personal interpretation.

First a simple reading of each verse… and then allowing the Bible to interpret itself through other related verse to the one we are reading… for example we will read John 1: 1-4 and verse 14 when we are reading about the first day of Creation.

Secondly we will make sure each verse is being read in context so there will be no misunderstanding of what is said by looking just at one verse…standing alone.

Thirdly we will look at non-biblical information that supports and gives evidence to Biblical statements… in order to help confirm the accuracy and dependability of scripture. (1 Peter 3:15 commands that we ready to give a logical and / or legal defense for what we believe (Apologia).
