Sowing for Eternity: The Prison Ministry

Testimonial by Richard Fox, Inmate at Dick Conners Correctional Center, Hominy OK

When Jesus came into my life as my savior and Lord, I was five years into a life sentence. Some guys I worked with in the kitchen invited me to church to hear a group coming in that had a great music program.

I went that night and listened to them, and a preacher got up named Don Boatwright and it seemed he knew me and where I had been because he preached my life to me and said you have tried everything but Jesus and if you will try him you will never go back.

I got up with the intention of leaving and to this day I can’t tell you how I walked passed the door and knelt at the altar, but I said God, I don’t know if you want this life but if you do it’s yours.

It felt as if the building was lifted up off my back and for the first time in my life, I knew  love. That was 37 years ago and Don was right if you truly taste the love of God how could you want or need anything else. I tell everyone. I sold out and I’m gonna hold out.

Gifts from God by Gary Dolan

God has given us gifts to use and enjoy. Some of those gifts are our children, our parents, our girlfriends or wife, if we have one. If not God will bless us in His timing. We need to stop and thank God for all the gifts He has given us. The greatest gift He gave us was the birth of Christ., Who has given us so much hope to live for God. Gad gave us fee will, His agape love, salvation, grace, and a way to come out of the depth of the fiery hell along with death so we can be alive and have the lives God wants us to have. All we have to do is turn from our worldly ways, and live for God. Other gifts God gives us are in the bible (James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

“ 2 Cor 9:15 “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!!”

Proverbs 8:35 For whoever finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the Lord; )

We houldn’t take these gifts for granted since we can lose them, but God will give them back when He knows we can let Him use them through us no matter what they are. Remember Jeremiah 29: 11-14 [vi]

My 9 year old niece told me what Christmas meant to

[i] Ephesians 4:7-16New King James Version (NKJV)

Spiritual Gifts

7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore He says:

“When He ascended on high,

He led captivity captive,

And gave gifts to men.”[a]

9 (Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first[b] descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)

11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

[ii] Galatians 5:22-24New King James Version (NKJV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

[iii] Romans 12:1-11New King James Version (NKJV)

Living Sacrifices to God

12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Serve God with Spiritual Gifts

3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

Behave Like a Christian

9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

[iv] Romans 13New King James Version (NKJV)

Submit to Government

13 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.

Love Your Neighbor

8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,”[a] “You shall not covet,”[b] and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”[c] 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Put on Christ

11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

[v] James 4:6New King James Version (NKJV)

6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:

“God resists the proud,

But gives grace to the humble.”[a]

[vi] Jeremiah 29:11-14New King James Version (NKJV)

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.

The ACLU is the enemy of the Church and of America

Two statements:

First Statement:

The ACLU (The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is a national organization that works daily in courts, legislatures and communities to defend the individual rights and …)

Think about it is this really a good organization protecting civil rights or a blight on America and a primary cause of the falling away of America from the Church?

Second Statement:

Christianity thrown out, Prayer thrown out, 10 commandments thrown out (including court houses and other government buildings), Nativity scenes kicked out public places

Even time as been changed, BC= Before Christ…. For 2,000 years… now… BCE = Before Common Era

RESULT:

In 1973, after 50 years of stability, the rate of incarceration in the United States began a sustained period of growth. In 1972, 161 U.S. residents were incarcerated in prisons and jails per 100,000 population; by 2007, that rate had more than quintupled to a peak of 767 per 100,000. From its high point in 2009 and 2010, the population of state and federal prisoners declined slightly in 2011 and 2012. Still, the incarceration rate, including those in jail, was 707 per 100,000 in 2012, more than four times the rate in 1972.

In absolute numbers, the prison and jail population had grown to 2.23 million people, yielding a rate of incarceration that was by far the highest in the world.

In October 2013, the incarceration rate of the United States of America was the highest in the world, at 716 per 100,000 of the national population. While the United States represents about 4.4 percent of the world’s population, it houses around 22 percent of the world’s prisoners.

And what is the glaring difference?

Christ was taken out of the education of the youth.

In 1963 Prayer (and Christian training) was taken out of the public schools (1963 and after. In these two landmark decisions, Engel v. Vitale (1962) and Abington School District v. Schempp (1963), the Supreme Court established what is now the current prohibition on state-sponsored prayer in US schools.)

And in just 10 short years…

In 1973 America started murdering its unborn babies, and lost its moral base and drug abuse, suicide, mass killings, and prison populations have escalated to out of control levels… how many things can you add to this list?

How about overly paid athletes who once were the role models for our children can’t even respect our flag and are teaching our children to believe it’s “OKAY”?

Those of you my age know this would not have happened 50 years ago, or there would have been no fans left.. they would have to go get a job like the rest of us.

We have only, one chance to turn the direction of America or all is lost… they don’t realize it, they don’t have the history, or the memories of our once Great Nation… The United States of America, but our grandchildren are heading for a horrible life… horrible beyond their imaginations…

It is time to take control of America once again… eliminate this blight called the ACLU… Help President Trump drain the swamp… Congress, The Senate, the Republican party, the Democrat Party are all fighting him tooth and toenail and he is standing against them alone… except for one thing, a powerful thing… those Americans who have retained a sense of right and wrong… we must continue to flood the voting booths with righteousness defeating the liberal left at every opportunity.

President Trump will go down in history as our greatest President if he succeeds, and he can only succeed with our help… if he fails… no one will notice… because America will die a long slow painful death, our history will be lost…just as the statues the liberals are tearing down, they will also tear down this beautiful Nation.
